Some time ago, Jake Colman asked me to review his app for Android ZmanMinder. I installed it and tested for several weeks.
So, now I have something to say on it.
Actually, the idea is very good and helpfull, but I would expect more from such app. Hope, Jake will continue developing it and will implement the features, I seek in such program.
But everything in it’s time, first the review and only then my ideas and improvements.

Jay released an updated version of Android-zmanim.
He added a bunch of new features, as it is listed in Release notes:
The biggest change in this release is around locations. You can now choose your location by any of the following:
- Use the network and/or GPS to determine your location
- Pick a specific place like an address, a city name, or even a zip code
- Specify a latitude & longitude
- Use of the latitude/longitude method means you don’t need any sort of connectivity.
Other new features include:
- Choose a time zone — if you’re looking up the zmanim for somewhere else, you can see the times in that locations time.
- See the zmanim to the second (available via the menu -> Preferences)

Zmanim application for Android was already annouced by KosherJava.com. Eliyahu mentioned that this application is based on his zmanim java library.
So now it’s time for my short review.

Ziporah Greve doesn’t stop surprising me.
I have already wrote a lot about wonderful php library for detecting Luach time.
Jewish calendar calculation in PHP
At this time, I found a wonderful application for Android, written by same Ziporah Greve, Luach for Android.
Here is my short review with some comments and suggestions.
