New version of Shabat keeper is available from Wordpress repository.
Current version is 0.4.4
it contains the following changes:

0.4.4
- in case IP location is not detected time of Server is used. Add your server location in configuration page.
- changed mechanism of locking comments. Now comment form section is not displayed in page, using styling.

- fixed issue with current time detection. Current time was reported without Offset difference.

In this release I added the following functionality:
- text area now uses tinyMCE for adding message to locked page.
- Added message to display in case comments are locked
- time will be detected according to UTC +/- current offset

Thanks to everybody for a good set ideas and suggestions.
I still think, that such plug-in might be useful for people. So, the show is going on.

In this version the following functionality was implemented:
- added functionality to close comments on shabat and open on ordinary day.
Thanks to Autoclose plugin by Ajay D’Souza for idea on implementation.
- added selector for Full lock and Only comments.

Now, Administrator can select how to lock the site.
There are only two options for now:
- Full lock. As it was introduced before, site will be locked fully with proper message
- Comments lock. This will lock possibility to write comments on all posts and re-enable after Shabat will finish.

I think it is good idea to close sites, related to Judaism for Shabat. This will not make non-observant Jews to break Shabat laws.

This morning, I’ve got an idea, that it would be nice to make a plugin for Wordpress to lock the site for shabat. I looked to the repository of Worpress plugins and haven’t found anything related.
Then I decided to make a fork from any under-construction plugin. I found a simple and really nice one.
UnderConstruction by Jeremy Massel and modified to meet my needs.

This is my first plugin for Wordpress, so don’t blame me too much.
Installation:
1. Download it from here.
2. unpack to wp-content/plugins
3. Enable it
4. Go to Settings -> Shabat Keeper and enter Lattitude, Longitude and GMT Offset

Here you are. 18 minutes before Sunset on Friday your site will be locked and will return on Motzey Shabat.

I really need testing on this plugin. So everybody welcome to add suggestions and bug here.
