Dvinsker.lv is the site for Daugavpils Jewish community. It collects all possible information about past and present of Jews in Daugavpils, Latvia.
I started this project in the beginning of 2006. But statistics I have starts only in February, 2008. But still it might be interesting for learning web statistics for a site, targeted to medium Internet user.
Some facts for beginning:
- 8250 visits since the 1st of February, 2008
- 31400 page-views
- 4111 (49.8%) search engines results
- 2182 (26.4%) direct traffic
- 1941 (23.5%) referring sites
Browsers
- Internet Explorer has 50%
- Firefox – 39.15%
It is worth to say that IE browsers 6.x and 7.x has about the same count – 40%.
Operating systems
- Windows has 95%
- Mac OS – 1.96%
- Linux – 1.77%
Windows XP has more than 85% of all Windows systems. Vista – only 10%.
Browsers/OS’s
Situation is about the same as in Browsers section.
I think that this statistics is pretty representative, because shows ordinary users, but not Internet geeks. It is different from statistics on KosherDev.com, because our visitors are mostly programmers and geeks, who use OpenSource products instead of Microsoft’s or Apple’s ones.
