Dear fiends,
Sure, you have mentioned, that KosherDev.com has got translation mechanism. This is still in development mode, but most of the site’s pages are now localized to Russian.
I’d like to ask you, which languages you’d like to see on KosherDev.com and maybe you could help me in translation.
Some technical information on plugins used for localization:
qTranslate - really powerful plugin for making your WordPress blog multilingual. It provides a possibility to write one post in several languages.
Codestyling Localization – easy translate every word to any language. Localization .mo files are created on fly. You need only to provide correct translation. Google Translate API is used for supported languages.

I’m comfortable with English, since it’s an commonly accepted hackers’ lingua franca

hmm, really strange initiative to my mind.
these icons are different only in colour scheme, so it is not that recognisable as national country flags.
what do you think on this?

No, the point is to create some recognizable pictogram for language choice (like one exists for feeds). I guess clicking on it will open some interface to choose the language.
