In the end of December The Jewish Chronicle wrote an article “Rabbi’s Skype exorcism“.
A renowned Israeli master of kabbalah, Rabbi Dovid Batzri, has attempted to remove a dybbuk, or disembodied spirit, from a Brazilian man via the internet.
A video posted on Charedi website ladaat.net, shows Rabbi Batzri, surrounded by dozens of supporters, reciting kabbalistic verses and praying for the exorcism of the dybbuk. He connected with the possessed man via Skype.
What can I say here? First of all it is really funny. I am not arguing the existence of dybbukim and all sort of spiritual garbage in our world. Bu I cannot stop being skeptic on this theme, when people try to use such tools as Skype to practice exorcism.
Since I read this news, I start thinking, that there is something rational to forbid Internet for some people.

Interesting, but actually logical. The main point of hashboo – is the concentration of the one who performs it, and his mental connection with the person for whom this procedure is performed. Actually such things as Skype – establish this connection remotely, i.e. you can see another person, you can hear him. So what’s left – is the kavono itself. So why not to use it?
