I upgraded KosherDev WordPress engine to version 2.9.
I tested in on testing site, but haven’t checked everything.
As a result, RSS feed seems to be broken due to some mystical first line insertion before
People in treads on this issue recommend to wait for Wordress 2.9.1, which seems to fix the issue. But i am not sure, that that is exact issue, I have here.
I installed fix Rss feed plugin. It found a lot of files with blank lines and fixed them, but that didn’t help me.
Have anybody met such issue and successfully resolved it?
If you cannot read KosherDev feed in your favorite reader, I’d suggest Google reader. It reads everything that can be read.

. I deactivated it and all problems including the RSS issue disappeared. It seems that all these issues were related to the Zmanim widget on 2.9 (it may have caused other issues in 2.8 but I did not notice them). I have problems accessing my PHP error logs now, so I can’t ascertain the exact cause within the plugin, but it is surely some PHP error caused by the plug-in.
I had the exact same issue on my site. There were other issues as well including blank pages on certain admin functions such as deactivating a plugin, logging into the WP admin pages (if you have a remember me cookie it will let you in till it expires) etc. I first deactivated all my plugins by renaming the plugin folder. This established that the cause was a plugin. Testing them one at a time (I had 10 active plugins) showed that the offending plugin was none other than the Zmanim Widget

Zmanim widget 0.5.1 fixes the problems with WordPress 2.9
